Neurology

General information on the topic
The nervous system is our central control system and influences every aspect of our lives – from our movements to our emotions. Neurological diseases such as migraines, multiple sclerosis, or Parkinson's disease can significantly limit our quality of life. Precise diagnostics and individually tailored therapy are therefore essential to alleviate symptoms and promote long-term health and well-being. My practice sees itself as a partner at your side, offering you security and guidance throughout all phases of treatment.
For diagnosis and treatment
My practice offers comprehensive diagnostic options for the precise diagnosis and individualized treatment of neurological conditions. Nerve measurements (ENG) allow for the precise analysis of peripheral nerve dysfunctions, such as those found in polyneuropathies. Electromyography (EMG) also measures the electrical activity of muscles and diagnoses neuromuscular disorders such as muscle weakness or nerve damage.
The EEG, a brainwave measurement, records the brain's electrical activity and provides important information for diagnosing epilepsy or other functional disorders. Evoked potentials (SSEP, VEP, AEP) are also used to examine the transmission of impulses along nerve pathways responsible for sensory perceptions such as touch, sight, or hearing.
We also perform laboratory tests to identify possible inflammatory, infectious, or systemic causes of symptoms. Ultrasound examination of the vessels supplying the brain allows us to monitor blood flow in the neck and cerebral arteries and detect risks such as strokes early on.
To assess cognitive impairments, we use neuropsychological tests such as the CERAD, which can be used to assess memory and concentration disorders, for example, in the context of dementia. These diverse testing methods enable targeted diagnostics and individualized treatment planning to ensure you receive the best possible care.
